    In for the afternoon sit. This is the back of the field that my tower is in. Saw a real nice buck back here from the tower at last light yesterday. He was 400 yds away. Thought I’d get a bit closer tonight. Got a favorable wind for it.

    Didn’t see him again so I left a note on the propane tank. Give him time. That buck had an ass like Kim Kardashian. That’s mostly what I saw as he ran straight away from me. Two bounds and in the woods. Rack, ass, rack, ass. I think he was trying to tell me something.

    Snow is in the air for the afternoon watch. Messes with my visibility, lol.

    Just let the dog out, heard a noise and there’s a huge 8 point that was just starting to bolt away. Was standing next to my propane tank 20 yds from the house. Biggest buck I’ve laid eyes on in a couple of years. Gun was just inside the door 3 feet away, but he was taking off as soon as I noticed him.

    Slept in this morning. Daughter and son in law are out together in the tower. She has a doe tag and he has a buck tag. Daughter took her 8 point from there Saturday. I've still got a doe to cut up from last weekend. It’s been aging in the fridge. And I lost power in a bedroom and bathroom the other day. Breaker tripped and won’t reset. So calling around for an electrician this morning. I’ll be out for the afternoon sit!

    We have a Savage .243 and she’s killed deer with it. I told her she should take it. She’s got two of the best bucks on our wall with her Ruger so she really wanted to take that one, broken mag and all. One in the chamber, three in the pocket, lol.

    Wife put her magazine in the gun this morning and the stupid flimsy plastic retention clip broke off. We have other guns but she wants to shoot hers. It’s a single shot for now. Ruger American 7mm08.
