Believe me, I cringe when Trump speaks. He's certainly not a good orator. At all. My world actually doesn't revolve around guns. It's a hobby. Just like fishing or banging on my bass. However, my observations have led me to believe that the gun issue is a bellwether of the rest of the platform. I haven't seen too many politicians support the second amendment and then raise taxes, open the borders, stifle the economy with burdensome regulations, etc. Just as I haven't seen too many politicians be anti-gun and then lower taxes, be firm on immigration laws, etc.
