Biden/Harris 2020!
Steuben Jerry replied to Delete's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I don't think anyone wants to actually "close" the borders, do they? And almost everyone wants immigration. Just not Illegal immigration. Not sure how slavery fits in with the legal/illegal immigration topic of today's times. -
So sorry for your loss First-light.

Seemed like a good guy from what I read of his posts. Sometimes politics can get you all wrapped up. I find politics interesting and generally am up on all of it, but I have to step back and ignore it at times to keep my head grounded. -

Too bad, Splitear/Revenant was a decent conversationalist. -

Our neighbor sent me these this morning. The ladder stand is just off our shared line. I haven't pulled any cards since the end of May. This gets me motivated to go tend to the cameras this weekend!

Biden/Harris 2020!

I was curious. From Google; The Twenty-Second Amendment says a person can only be elected to be president two times for a total of eight years. It does make it possible for a person to serve up to ten years as president. This can happen if a person (most likely the Vice-President) takes over for a president who can no longer serve their term. -

Man or woman, you have to live with the reputation you create. I didn't know much about her until the Dem primaries. Then I learned this (from a Washington Examiner article); Kamala Harris’ first significant political role was an appointment by her powerful then-boyfriend Willie Brown, three decades her senior, to a California medical board that has been criticized as a landing spot for patronage jobs and kickbacks. Then 30, Harris was dating 60-year-old Willie Brown, at the time the Democratic speaker of the California State Assembly, when he placed her on the California Medical Assistance Commission in 1994. The position paid over $70,000 per year, $120,700 in current money, and Harris served on the board until 1998. Brown’s decision to appoint Harris raised eyebrows in political circles. “Both boards are reserved for political payback or occasionally for personal rewards for personal service,” said Brett Granlund, a former California Republican state assemblyman who worked closely with the commission while Harris was on the board. “The boards are considered plumb appointments as they require no work, no policy credentials, and are paid the equivalent of a full-time [state] senator for arriving at a one- to two-hour meeting each month.” Granlund said the appointment seemed brazen at the time because of the relationship between Harris and Brown. “Screwing the speaker has its rewards,” he said. “Stevie Wonder could have seen through that play.” Now you can say this is a right wing article, and features a quote from a Republican, but what do you, yourself think when you see a 30 year old dating a powerful 60 year old? As Joe Biden would say, C'mon Man! -
Good luck in retirement! Hope you have a change of heart and keep in touch from time to time!

I don't think that's what you mean by bucket list, otherwise, it's on his list to do before he kicks the bucket. Unless he's really slow to get to it, lol.

Inadvertent post on the wrong thread.

A whole lot of disgruntlement would have been avoided if the first asked question in the thread was answered accurately. That said, we recently bought our daughter and son-in-law a feeder for her spot in NJ. When I'm feeling particularly mischievous, maybe I'll drop a pic in the trail cam section.

Scenario question for the yakkers; Wife and I bought sit-in Kayaks five-ish years ago. We primarily use them on the Cohocton and Canisteo rivers or some smaller (shallow) bodies of water in our immediate area. I've tipped one over in 2-3 feet of water in the river while horsing around, and that thing is HEAVY when it fills up with water. Being that it was in 2-3 feet of water it's no big deal to drag it over to the bank, tip out all the water and get back to having fun. I see folks yakking in different finger lakes anywhere from 20 FOW to 200 FOW or more. What's the plan should one tip over and fill up? That's why I stay mostly in rivers. I don't even know if I could pull myself back on in a sit-on-top at my age. We always wear life jackets.

If we do it here, I’m tied up for the next two weekends, and then wide open every weekend going forward.

I’ve been a slacker in keeping the range brush hogged, but an hour or two would neaten it up nicely. It would be nice to see all that iron in use. Want to make it a range day GTG? Rifles are welcome too. We can stretch out to 400 yds.

Is that what this is? Found it a couple of years ago, had no idea that it would be edible. It was 18-20 inches high.
