  1. thanks guys...the fun and memories I have with him hunting and fishing I could write a book on...
  2. l've been hunting for 20 years now...with my father and a few friends by my side all of those years...I have seen numerous big deer with the bow and just have never been able to seal the deal...on 11/5 at 9:03 I finally got a poke at what I knew was a good deer...he strolled by at 38 yards and I slipped one off...I knew the shot ended up a tad low so I met with my father and backed out of the woods for 4 hours...after a dicey track job with my pops by my side... when we finally came upon him it finally sunk in that I had finally sealed the deal on a good one...the rollercoaster of emotions throughout the day is only understood by a hunter...its a day and a memory that I will always charish...10 score able pts and 205lbs dressed on the scale...
  3. took her sat night @ 6 pm in 30 mph+ gusting winds...17 yrd chip shot...went 70 yrds and piled up in the grapes...1st one in the freezer for the year
  4. Im yet to hunt a day where the wind hasn't blown at least 15 to 20...this weekend it continues...worst weather season ive hunted in a while...
  5. Took her saturday night in the rain @ 28 yrds kneeling in a small natural ground blind...really starting to like ground hunting with the bow...
  6. I picked up a fred bear grizzly last year...im still working with it and slowly making progress...its a tough but fun game...I am determined to hunt with it once I have a ton of confidence built up...I just learned to twist the string to adjust the brace height to stop hitting my arm guard...got a lot to learn still...but I love the challenge

  12. its just startin to happen here...that deers neck was swollen up big with a bunch of fresh green shaven's in the rack. same with a few big boys @ the butcher too. all the locals that we know are just startin to see the bigguns. there finally start to show up!! this week could be awesome if thats the truth. were headin back out wednesday night thru sunday so will see what happens
  13. My buddy has been hunting with me for about 7 years now. Poor kid has always had lousy luck with seeing bucks. This year i finally got him to start bowhunting with me after years of himmin and hawwin about it. He finally got to see a couple basket racks up close and he's now hooked. After a horrible opening day for us and only seeing a few deer and only taking a doe, ( quietest opener in a long time ) we woke up to a crummy morning today. but we got up and headed out reguardless in 30+mph winds, 58 degrees and rain showers. 7:45 A.M this dandy stepped out 100 yards to his left on a gasline and thats all she wrote. he stacked him on the spot with the.270. Needless to say he was absoultly thrilled and pumped beyond belief! We were so close to sleeping in, but in the end it paid off huge for him!!! Sure is a hell of a nice buck. 11pt 170lbs dressed...
  14. overall this season was so/so...lotta windy days. saw decent amounts of deer. passed on quite a few baskets, but never saw a mature buck this year. put a doe in a freezer so it wasnt a total bust. not a bad year, but surely wasnt a good one either. for both of the guys i hunt with it was a poor year for them also...
  15. the camera its self weighs 3.3 oz, with the case and mount im probably @ about 7 to 8 oz total weight. ive shot since mid august with the camera on the bow. didnt have to make any adjustments at all. just need to be a little more careful when taken the bow off the hanger so i dont clunk anything with it and make any noise.
  16. theres the link to the video...its not the greatest without zoom and the fact that it was closer to dark...but it was better than nothing
  17. this is a pic from the camera, and also the lane that i shot the deer in...
  18. this is the camera mounted to the bow
  19. im hooked...my goal is this spring i bought a fred bear grizzly recurve 50# draw...im just gonna keep @ that even if it takes me years to learn how to shoot it, and then i wana take one from the ground with that. shotgun i hunt with a h & r ultra slughunter break action. gotta stick with one shot one kill!
  20. ill post a picture of the camera mounted on the bow when i get home bkln - im workin on the vid, ill try and also have that up tonight when i get home if it comes out ok
