its awesome!! almost every deer i shoot with the gun is from the ground, but with the bow...it was intense! had my heart going hard!

thanks man. i got it on video too. i got a gopro 1080hp hd cam mounted on the bow but i gotta try n edit n lighten up the video a little bit. theres no zoom which is a bummer but that camera is just down right awesome!

this season has had its ups and downs so far. i've been seeing a lot of deer just no shooters. and both of the shooters i did see i got burnt on. one crossed my lane just outta range, and the other i had @ 3 yards but it was just to dark first thing in the morning. ive been wantin to take a doe all season but haven't had a doe within 50 yrds. ive passed on over a half dozen baskets. ive been wanting to try still hunting from the ground for a few years now but always found a excuse not to. so i finally just man'd up and went and cut out a lil spot and made a natural blind on the edge of a field i hunt right where it funnels the deer along the grapes and up a lil hill. i hunted it 3 times seeing deer everytime includen the nice buck i saw that crossed just outta my range. well friday night i caught a nice doe all by herself on the edge of the woods start workin her way across the field. like she was on a rope she funnel'd her way right to me. 28 yards, broadside she strolled right thru my lane. hit her a tad farther back than i would of liked but she turned and took up haulin head and tail down. only went about 80yds and piled up. that was one of the coolest hunts that i have ever done. and even though its just a doe, its will be a hunt that i will remember for a long time.

2 blade rage...2 for 2 with in the last 2 years...the blood trails were ridicilous...before that was spitfire's...i have always shot mechanical...may not always get a pass thru, but i never had a problem with either...

ill be out tomorrow afternoon thru sunday...ive been holden out long enough this season...time to lay one down!!

i'm seeing deer, nothin worth taken yet. prolly seen 8 or so different baskets and 2 decent bucks mixed in with a few does here and there. yesterday had a nice 7pt @ 3 yrds but was to dark to take a shot. o well, thats hunting. scrapes and rubs are startin to show, and i had a lil 5pt tryin to run a doe sat night. so its startin to heat up

i cut 2 up myself and take one to the butcher. our butcher is a good friend and has been doing deer for us for over 12 years now and were assured all our meat back is ours...he charges about $75 but i have him make me all my sausage and this year hopefully hes got the smoker up and running

no 1 is gonna stop me from crackin my beer @ 8a.m....but also thats only when i am hoppin on the tractor to go pick my deer up @ the woods. all the guys i hunt with, were all pretty young and extremely good friends. no 1 drinks before hunts or in the woods @ all. but after that bow / shotgun is hung up after the evening hunt were always gonna tie one on. nothing but business sun up to sun down, but after that its time for strip steaks some potatos n mushrooms, stoke up the wood burner and tell tales from the days hunt and throw ur feet up n relax. everyone gets a good nights sleep and were back @ it again.

thats the normal...accpet for this year, our saturday morning forecast is rain with sustained winds sw 30 to 40 gusting to 50 plus....looks like ill be catchin up on some sleep

still working with and learning how to shoot my recurve... was hoping to get out with it this year but im just not comfortable enough with it yet...so ill keep at it and hopefully ill be able to carry it for a few hunts next year

whats up guys, i have a few questions for any one who plants food plots. a farmer gave me permisson next year to barrow some of his equipment and turn over a section of field right off a corner of his woods i hunt. i have no experience with food plots. i was wondering what types of seeds or blends of seeds ya use? what time of year to disc and plant seed? any type of help or info would be greatly appricated. thanks rich

heres a few deer we've taken so far this year. all these deer were taken in WNY.... my bow 8pt my dads big bow 7 pt gun opener does big doe i took in snow and winds gustin to 45 mph saturday. it was sure a fun day jump hunting by myself!

thanks guys, ive had my climber for 6 years too and that was teh first deer i have taken from it so that was a added plus too!

yesterday was my last day to bow hunt for the year. after seeing nothing but a nice red fox in the morning i was a little discouraged. i passed up more than a 1/2 dozen smaller bucks and was startin to reget passin the basket 6 i let walk last sunday. so i got outta my stand after the morning hunt and decided to make a move with my climber. my buddy came down and helped me clear some lanes quick and we got outta the area with disturbing it too much. i got up in the climber @ 2 and settled in. around 3:30 i stood up to put my jacket on when outta no where theres a nice doe standin in one of the lanes i cleared @ 30 yds. bow still hangin in tree and arm guard held on by 1 clip i made the move for the bow and un clipped my arm guard as there was no way i was gettin the other 2 clips done up. i get the bow and make the swing around to get on her. i watched her for a few seconds and decided i was gonna take her. just as i was about to draw she took 2 big bounds and stopped and looked back. just as i was about to look i heard the gunts. so i came to full draw and spun and here he came 18 yds to my lane on a hot trot. i whistled to stop him and he took 3 big bounds and ended up stoppin broadside 26 yds out in my lane to the field. smack!! he went 65 yds and piled up..doubled lunged. hes not the buck i was after but im pretty stoked with him. made my day for sure
