I got a decent doe during early muzzleloader and a smaller doe a few days later with my bow. The regular gun season here in the northern tier was horrible all I seen for bucks was a handful of spikes. Overall not my worst ever but certainly not one of my better seasons. Sorry to hear about your bad year mine wasn't a whole lot better. I'm eating my Buck tag for the first time in quite awhile. It seems most people I know and or have talked to didn't have good years. I'm not sure where you're located but if you're ever interested in making a trip up north to the tug hill area I'd be happy to meet up with you and show you around. I just got back Saturday night from a hunting road trip where I got to meet and hunt with a current member of the site. Out on the hill for a hunt with my son. These hunts are pretty special to me wether we see anything or not. He lives in NC and is up for Thanksgiving and we only get a few hunts in together each year now. Good luck to everyone and Happy Thanksgiving! Sent from my moto g power (2022) using Tapatalk

Ended up staying on the hill and had a little encounter with a one point at 10 yards as I was sitting on the ground. Looks like a spike but one side either busted off or never grew. Nothing I would shoot but still kewl being that close to them. Sent from my moto g power (2022) using Tapatalk

Heading up to the hill shortly going to try a mid day sit from 10-2. I've never specifically targeted these hrs but I have heard lots of hunters who swear by them. I'm guessing one reason why would be all the hunters getting up from a early morning sit are pushing them around.
