I'm a ways from brantingham close to the worth, Barnes corners area, been seeing more scrapes but today was the first buck I saw in hot pursuit and he was a beauty. Between my boy and me we seen 13 deer today they were moving big time. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Had my first sign of the rut had a beautiful 8 point follow in a doe this morning unfortunately couldn't get a shot, but he had his nose down following her pretty close, maybe it's finally started Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Heading out sons feet are froze been on watch for 5 hrs and the wind is starting to pickup, great morning between the boy and I we saw 13 ( although 4 of them I believe to be the same group of does) and I got a good view of what would have been my biggest deer I believe. Dang it I just had an big 8 point follow a doe in behind me got to within 30 yards but doe caught me trying to slowly turn around in my seat she froze then and the 8 point stopped in behind some thick stuff never got a shot, then had a button buck come in 5 mins later,of course he I could have had he got within 10 yards then stomped his feet at me, what a morning the rut is deffinetly starting here in the northern zone finally Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Congrats halfnelson on your first crossbow deer, back in the swamp stand here in 6g jumped a doe and another big bodied deer on the way in couldn't see the head of the bigger deer in guessing maybe a buck, they make it 3 deer I've seen all week averaging 6 hrs a day in the woods, sometimes it just feels like I'm taking the gun for a walk!
