What makes or breaks certain hunters?
Tughill Tamer replied to Buckmaster7600's topic in Deer Hunting
For me it has been being persistent and patient. I never killed my first deer till age 30 after 15 years of hunting. Back then there were no doe permits at all up in this area and I would be lucky to see a cpl bucks a year and was picky about the shot I would take but I stayed with it learned more and more and since 1998 when I harvested my first I have averaged 2 deer a year. That stinks wheels sorry to hear about that you got a raw deal I fear the same thing I have a 75 acre chunk that I have the opportunity to hunt the land owner has never asked for a dime although I always give him some venison and always buy him a gift certificate for him and his wife for dinner but still that's not much for 75 acres I fear someday someone will offer him a deal he can't refuse andbi will be out. Had a great time on my first ever hunt in souther tier didn't get to harvest any deer but seen six but they were all on the run not presenting a good shot. Me and my gang got tommorow to get it done. I can't thank stoneam 2006 and his dad enough for allowing us to come down and hunt with them while showing us around they have been very generous with there hospitality, the kind of people you hope to meet on a sight like this. About 5 inches here in 6g (Watertown) and about 2 ft in 6k (Barnes corners) where I do a lot of my hunting. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

I'm sure the vortex is a better scope. I figured yours prably came with the konus. I had never heard of konus before I bought the muzzleloader, so far I have no complaints on the konus. I have been using the triple 7 pellets so far so good. My son has the plain Jane wolf with the konus and he loves it. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

I've got the same gun except mine is topped with a konus 3×9×40, nice little muzzleloader for the price Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
