I don't know much about ticks to be honest never had to much problem with them where I hunt usually but my son had 1 on him a few weeks ago, am I right with the snow on the ground you don't have to worry about them as much? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Nice shotgun, I had one about 5 hrs ago and ended up selling it to a friend who didnt have a lot of money but needed a decent whitetail rig.Sold it to him for $200 topped with a Nikon shotgun scope. I miss that gun. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

My son has sometimes been carrying an Remington 870 along with his 243 his reasoning is he just got the 870 and desperately wants to harvest something with it but since he dosent have a scope on it yet he brings the 243 also for any distant shots. Just about the same thing happened to my son after about 5 hrs of hunting we are on are way home and my son pulls out his phone and it has a tick on the screen that was saturday when it comes was 19 degrees on the tug hill. I didn't think you had to worry much about about ticks in very cold weather? I have hunted the tug hill region for 30+yrs and that was the first tick ive ever seen from there. I'm a ways from brantingham close to the worth, Barnes corners area, been seeing more scrapes but today was the first buck I saw in hot pursuit and he was a beauty. Between my boy and me we seen 13 deer today they were moving big time. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Heading out sons feet are froze been on watch for 5 hrs and the wind is starting to pickup, great morning between the boy and I we saw 13 ( although 4 of them I believe to be the same group of does) and I got a good view of what would have been my biggest deer I believe.
