Well the property I hunt has a gas line cutting through the middle. With the dry summer we had it allowed the person responsible for brush hogging the gas line to do a nice job of really opening up the area in the picture below. I do have a stand right off the gas line with lanes that allow for shots at deer on the gas line. My question to the forum is would you focus on turning this green area into a plot? We are not allowed to till......but I was thinking no till method and planting clover. Let me hear your thoughts....always planning for next season even though this one has just begun. I maily hunt out of hub blinds as well.....windows open it still gets cooking in there. Get a small one to keep near her and it's easy to carry in an out.....they are worth there weight in gold. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

This scene gets better when their buddy(who is from a hunting family) comes over and two of them are hunters with nerf guns and the third has to be the deer. Out of know where one of them will go darting across the lawn with their hands up like antlers and Boom....he gets dropped on a dead sprint. Their imagination is unreal. My two boys walk around the house with grunt tubes and rattling antlers.....they work on calling each other in front different parts of the house.....some nights my wife and I just shake our heads and laugh. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

My oldest who is 8 spent his first time in a tree stand with me when he was 3.5 The kid is absolutely hooked to this day, and now his younger brother is as well. He has been with me for an opening day turkey kill, and opening day buck kill. He loves going to our leases and riding the atv, setting up blinds and just having fun. I told him this year we are going to start to develop patience. We are trying to pass on small does and bucks....looking to shoot a mature deer instead. Get them out their as early as you can.....the memories last forever and the opportunities to harvest wild game will come with them by your side. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

Our friend shot a real nice buck last year and was right around this time of the year and the place they use in West valley was closed. The guy came to her house.....hoisted it up and got to work. He hangs the deer from a hoist he hooks up to the receiver on his truck....makes all the big cuts....then breaks down the different cuts on the stainless steal tables he has inside the enclosed trailer. He doesn't vacuum pac....and doesn't take time getting all the possible meat off the deer. He does a real basic job.....but in a pinch he gets the job done. He leaves the carcas for you to dispose of as well......with a cape job he was north of 200.00 Another buddy shot one late season last year and he met the guy at someone's house.....so that was a profitable day for the butcher not having to travel anywhere.
