That is a hell of a shooter ya got there. Hopefully he slips up for ya and shows himself in daylight. Problem is this time of year, ya never know whats just lasting through and how long they will be there for. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

Why so serious??? Can't we all just, get along? Lol. I still haven't heard what the hell happened about the possible changes if any at all. Everyone crying about what they like or don't like, I think we have more serious issues happening in NY other than x bow season. We have thousands of illegal border jumpers headed our way because Cuomo is paying them to come here (with everyone leaving this shithole it makes sense). Cities all over NY will be a sanctuary cities. Imagine what hunting will be like with all of them.. I doubt they will care about what laws we have, they will probably just go whenever with whatever weapons of choice. Things could get alot worse than just someone using a crossbow during archery season. Haha. I only bring this up because I see it now with fishing especially but hunting as well. Dude was being my job in an apple orchard hunting deer with a x bow first week of archery. He got dragged out by DEC. Seen alot of this fishing keeping way over the limit. Lets hope this is not the case but who knows Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk -

So did it all get declined or just the season portion of it? The restrictions just don't make any sense especially the draw weight and width! Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk -

Wish they would hurry it up, debating a new x bow or bow... a new rem 700 rifle & AR build will have to hold me over. In regards to the crossbow stuff, I agree with people on both sides. To me, the important thing is getting rid of the absolutely pointless width and draw weight restrictions. I dont mind the current season as it falls at the rut anyway plus I like to hunt with both but definitely feel more accomplished if I get one with my compound. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk -

When do we know if this has been passed? I just want to use a less bulky x bow. Can care less about using it in October. Also they are trying to make it so we have the half hour after sunset. That is the biggest difference maker in all of it. I really hope that goes through. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk -
Same here. I still have Hughes net. The worst and it barely ever works. $90 a month for almost dial up speeds. I went through the deal with spectrum, they told me next year they are coming up the hill and then next year and next year. Its literally a quarter mile away where spectrum stops. Unreal. Looking into the elon Musk internet. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

Looking for a hunting lease in southern Oneida or Madison county. Would possibly go further southwest as well. Looking for a smaller farm with wood lots and agriculture. Not looking for all woods. It would be myself and brother in law and my 2 boys once in a blue moon (when I can drag them out the house). Looking for all deer seasons and turkey season. Sent from my SM-G965U1 using Tapatalk

I love the hornady super performance sst 162grain bullets out of my 7mm rem mag. I have never lost a deer ive hit with it. No reason to switch and I'll be using the same thing for my custom mountain rifle tikka build next year for elk unless i can find something a little heavier with the same terminal power. So far Ive had a great deer season here in 6s. I shot my biggest buck to date with a bow the last week of bow season and my son and I doubled within minutes last Sunday morning with our rifles. It was his first weekend hunting ever and he made a perfect heart shot at 200 yards with his TC .270. 2 mins after he shot I seen a doe come into the field over 400 yards away and then an 8 point buck. I had a tiny window at 450 yards and took it. The custom dial on the leupold vx-5hd 3-15x56mm scope is the real deal. We have 2 doe tags left and im out right now trying to fill em! I held out for a decent buck and did not hunt my best stands until the rut. It has worked every year for the last 3 years. The big 10 point has 2 stickers at the base u can't see from the pic but i bet hes close to that 130" mark. Just not enough to make it i dont think. 18" spread. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Have a set of sitka Fanatic bibs and jacket size L in elevated 2 pattern camo available. Used 1 year but in excellent condition. Stored in scent free tote and only washed in scent free detergent. No trades unless it is a Leupold vx-5hd 3-15x with firedot scope . $515 TYD OBO Will separate as long as the bibs go first, make me an offer. Will be listed on other sites as well. Thanks Tony Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

The AR just gives them a way better chance to get to that "mature stage". They are stupid when they are young which is why scrubs are killed 20-1 around here. I hold out and it has worked out at least every other year. No they aren't all these pope and young/boone and crocket bucks but they are also not scrub bucks. 200+ hours on stand this year and it finally paid off. My buddy goes out once, put him in a good spot and shoots a scrub 4 point after 3 hours total hunting. What an accomplished hunter. When i shot mine he said "wish i still had my buck tag" . Can't teach em all. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

The state has been crap for years. What makes anyone think that keeping it the same will yield bigger bucks? Lol. Only reason we are seeing somewhat decent bucks now is way less hunters and better agricultural products like soybeans. If anyone would like to go in on a lease for Ohio next year let me know! Ill fill my freezer here at home with does but once every 3 years seeing a mature buck aint cutting it anymore. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

This is crazy. Not much happening in a year when experts predicted a super early Halloween time rut, lol. I think this weekend its on into 1st week of gun Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Yeah, ya must be pretty close. Thats awesome and it has probably been my worst bow season ever as far as seeing quantity, quality, and even deer sign. Only bucks ive seen was a scrub spike and an even smaller spike i called in yesterday morning. Ive been hunting O Falls alot and its been horrible this year down there so far so i am now focused on a spot towards Waterville. Good luck Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Something has to happen here.... it needs to get better. Sick of seeing "maybe" 1 shooter buck a year Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Awesome buck fredbear2! Im glad to hear some sort of action happening. I haven't seen much here in 6s/7j yet. Wondering why its happening so late this year when all the experts said it would be a super early rut, lol Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Is anyone seeing any rut action yet in CNY?? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Agree. I will say its bs if they dont give doe tags out to go along with the antler restrictions. I dont understand how it could be a bad thing Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
-
This is exactly why i wish we had antler restrictions. Look what a couple years does to a buck! You got some awesome deer where you are hunting. Good luck on that big boy Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
