So there's still hope for a zombie apocalypse?
-
Definitely happy I'm vacced. If there are benefits to infection, then bonus, but I would prefer to avoid it.

Prediction or curse?

Was at a cocktail party in Mexico the other day and this one guy kept talking to me a little too closely. Later that night he popped positive for covid.

Old guy term for car to airport. Delta is the best US carrier and we were upgraded bigly. They have but one failing ... the damn plane needs to leave the airport. -

Received notification at 2:00 am that the morning flight was cancelled. Spent hours on hold with Delta and AmEx travel to figure it out. So much time that we hopped in the limo to JFK. Rectified as we pulled into the airport, but went in anyway to talk to an agent. Rebooked for 1:40 am tonight. Back home repacking. Doesn't anyone know that covid is fake? -
We're more the wander into the central square and eat great tacos at a stall types. But there will be a few fancy dinners.
-
Maybe. I've rented a big house for the first month so should be relatively safe. Then I'm popping between little fishing villages. But if I do pick it up, I have confidence in my vaccine status. New outlook? Sure. Next year I'm gonna kill a deer on my property.

Meanwhile ...

There's a competition? What are the standings? Didn't cure cancer in his first year of office ... what a slacker. However in four years with congress on his side, Trump promised a beautiful infrastructure bill. Five times he called it "infrastructure week." Who better than a "builder" to do this? Nothing. Meanwhile, in year one, Sleepy Joe says, "hold my geritol and watch this." Boom. Refresh my memory, but didn't you say a few weeks back that you were loving working from home? No more commuting into the city, more family time, that sort of thing? Will you be happy or sad when things open up?

I blame Obama for leaving bad and broken Covid tests.

Snyder is the owner of Kifaru. I don't disagree with you. His hunts are all legal and a mix of private and public. Mostly private I think. I also believe he said he shot somewhere around 75 animals a year which probably includes nuisance animals. I'm just musing, but to tie it into what Rinella was saying, if there are too many hunters exploiting a diminishing resource, could there be a future of not only yearly limits but lifetime as well? -

The thread on rokslide is interesting and lengthy - some 1000 responses and 86 thousand views. Rinella as well. Maybe because it's more western oriented. Aron Snyder gets thrown in as well as he went on a few podcasts to counter but then got into a "I could kick his ass" thing which was a little disappointing. He talked about killing so many animals that his wife gives the meat away to house buyers (I think she's a realtor). That got lost in the shuffle but maybe if you're shooting so many animals that you, your family, and your neighbours can't possibly use it all so you have to give it away to strangers, you're shooting too many animals. -
You think big pharma's going to walk away from all that sweet sweet vac money? That's one for the "screw them" category. Have you apologized to Chef for calling him an "asshole" or do you cop a "screw them" attitude to the rules of the forum as well.

Not sure about that. Medicine has come along way in the last 100/50/25/10 years. What about the 1000 dying a day? Collateral damage in the pursuit of freedom? Bad luck?

I'm shocked that two years into a pandemic that started out with stacked bodies in trucks outside hospitals, we know more about the disease and transmission, and have altered recommendations. Who could have possibly predicted that?
-
Unless they don't. We should keep the back-and-forth in the vaccination thread and out of Swamp's.

"Bug Out Bag" isn't any better.

Are we back to insulting people?

Good luck. This thing is ripping through NYC right now. Everyone I talk to has it or knows others who have. Fingers crossed it stays mild.
