    This time of the year , turkeys will gobble to the sound of just about anything loud. I remember them gobbling to church bells , firehouse sirens , lawnmowers , jake brakes , car doors slamming and chainsaws just to name a few.

    I wish I some open fields to hunt. I’m thinking the turkeys might head into the fields after getting drenched on the roost all night. Plus they can see and hear better. Who knows..... I might just roll over if I hear the rain hitting the bedroom windows. It would be the first opener I punked out on.

    Very nice.... good luck. Their fun to trap. I like making leaning pole sets. There’s no kneeling down on the ground to make them.

    From a turkey nesting standpoint , I think coons and opossums are public animals # 1 and # 1a.

    Hey Pygmy..... any chance of you trapping for them this year ? They are cool looking critters and they do get big.
