Thats why when hunt with no scope especial actually even with my scoped guns i always carry a small light weight binocular around my neck . Dont go hunting with out it . Deer like to freeze in place some times hoping you dont see them before they take off they can blend right into the surroundings. Its amazing the way they blend in to the woods .

Im getting the 45 70 because it can be loaded for a large range of bullet weights. Its a more versatile caliber then the 30 30 they say . I have see the ammo for it as low as $28 a box not bad price if your only going to be using it for hunting mostly .

Btw you not supost to be using you scope to identify targets only when a target is identified do you ever point a scoped gun any gun at it . Your suppost to use binoculars for glasing your surroundings , Not the scope on your gun . If that guy did that his dad would still be alive if it was a accident that is. Which is questionable.

I dont know especially if the victim was wearing orange . I noticed for some reason seems like most of these happen to family members or friends that shoot each other. Makes you think maybe they had a fight argument and decided to end it out in the woods.

Intersting question if it was me i would leave it alone because i dont want to break any laws . I Never had nothing like that happen to me. I personally would not shoot it . Because i dont know what the law is exactly on situations like that. But i know state troppers kill wounded deer all the time that have been injured by cars. I have a feeling if you called DEP they would tell you to just leave the deer alone and let nature take its course. If you called a state Trooper they would shoot it only if it was on the side of the road . There could be a loophole in law that lets you kill it but if you drag it out of the woods then you have to report it to the DEP . And they would probably do a investigation and may not believe your story especially if it's a buck with a big rack on it . I dont no what i would do probably nothing or by the time i made up my mind the deer would be gone .

I dont no about that , i mean i have hunted same spot for hours and hours and after you look out in the woods for so long the rocks the stumps off in the distance start to look like deer . your eyes can start playing tricks on you, but i never got to the point . Where i actually rased my gun or shot at a stump or rock . I look with my binoculars and wait patiently untill i no what the hell im looking at . And these are objectes that are colored similar to a deer . Now if someone has orange on seems inposible to think its a deer off in the distance and even camo is totally different than the color of a deer too now that I think about it. And the gun a Hunter would be carrying would definitely stick out as not being a deer .

I think in nyc it will cost thousands of dollars you need a lawyer if im not mistaken to get one there .

I dont use a scope when i hunt with my shotgun but i carry binoculars . But seriously how the hell do you mistake human for deer for that matter. ? Was the guy on drugs ? Or he did in on purpose ? Did the guy have orange on . Yea, funny how he manage to hit him right in the chest from 100 yards away seems like a well aimed shot one you would have to take your time to get off and specially on a, moving target .

I have hunted there before but only when its really cold keeps the hikers away and not weekends . I go in the parts of the park hikers bikers dont go . Places like that only good when the weather is bad . Snow rain or cold weather .

Well if your hunting all those states with a bunch of your friends and your getting more deer , you can definitely say you're a better Hunter than they are . But how can you judge other hunters That you dont hunt with ? Its some what subjective. I saw your adks bucks you definitely are a above-average hunter thats for sure to get anything there. But other parts of the state is different from one another and not well know . What i mean is adks is know for hard hunting . But other parts of the state are not well know like the adks . So it makes it harder to judge.

Yea but to know that you have to be hunting the same area and in the same way . To be able to judge another Hunter. Deer populations are different all over the state.

how many hunters go to a hunting preserve and dont get a deer ? A Deer is a large target for someone using a scoped rifle . But it all depends on how you hunt. If your a tracker stalker type hunter or using a ground blind or stand . You cant say one hunter is better then the other cuz everybody's hunting different ways for different reasons on different Terrain in different areas of the state and deer populations are vastly different depending where your at .

Yep you live up state you vote for president is worthless because of NYC always voting one way not fair for one part of the state to have all the power like that .

Dont know where you hunt but I know people that go up on public land every year opening weekend in groups 4 more guys every years and most the time they come back with nothing or only one guy gets one . What it takes is to hunt lots of days on public land . And even more so if you want a bigger buck .

Dont no why anyone would want more restrictions . Its hard enough at least on public land to get anything as it is . If they do that it should be only in select areas so people have a Choice.

Thats why they need to break up the electoral vote in New York like they do in some other states

In nyc you have large ethnic groups that all vote one way all the time demcratic no matter what . So if most people vote 50/ 50 which is usally pretty close to what happens . Just having one group like that dramtically effects election results . Thats how crooks like clinton and de Blasio get in there . Plus the help of media .

You have to be more specific depends on which part of the state you are going to hunt at .

Yea my bow is set up to shoot 300 plus with 400 grain arrows . But there are crossbows that are shooting 400 now . Its the ease of use that make the crossbow more effective really . Just easer to learn then a bow .

They should break up NYC from the rest of the state you take out NYC and new york state would be a red or purple state go either way.
