I think ARs could be doing more to help out pouchers then the average hunter seems like . Before opening day anything big gets taken out by them . This could be why alot of guys say they dont see any difference in AR areas .

I can think of two people both cousins of mine one shot 2 deer first day they ever went hunting and the other shot a really nice 6 point the first day they ever went hunting one never shot another deer since that and the other went like 8 years or more with out getting anything . The 6 point happend to be the biggest buck ever taken from this property that a friend owned and had for over 15 years and hunted there all the time . Alot of hunting is just luck . And alot is how much time you put in the more you hunt the better your odds get that you will get something big . But sometimes it just does not work no matter what you do . No matter how many books you read . You just have go out there and injoy the moment and accept whatever God decides to send your way.

Does anyone else make A carbine with a traditional looking stock on it that is in that caliber 7.62×39 or larger In semi auto Light and compact like that?

I heard the same thing i heard they made changes in 08 but not sure how much that helps sucks because i really like the way that gun looks and the compact size of it .

Thats probably double the range i will ever use this cal 7.62x39 gun at if i hunt with it pretty much cant get a clear shot past 70 80 yards in my area .

How? either you pass the test or you dont and dont get a license at least that was the way it was when i took the test over 30 years ago .

In some states it lowered it up to 80% Besides that you want to know where other hunters are so you can put yourself in the best possible place to see a deer . If some clown is in full camo and decides to be in the Direction you are hunting in . He is going to spook the deer way be for you ever see it besides the fact you may shoot him by mistake . One time i was hunting in a funnal on public land exspecting deer to show up and then I relized there was i jerk in full camo a little over 150 yards from me in full camo right in the direction i was hunting the trail the deer would come out of I only saw him when he started shooting at a deer in front of him and he started walking to see if he got it im assuming the guy was there the whole time so basically I wasted my time for nothing so annoying .

Still most deaths from hunting happen from heart attacks and falling from tree stands I read , Keep in mind . One hunting death is already too many.

Yea but what is the percent of hunters getting a big buck very very low anyway you look at it . For the averge guy ARs is not going to make there life any easier. I dont really no what is better frankly knowing there are bigger bucks around and probably not being the one to get them or just having more chances at any deer i see .

Im leaning to getting something a little bigger like the mini 30 . To hunt with once in a while Which lookes a lot like the m1 carbine but with a little more power .and Still pretty light and compact.

Another gun i would like to get is the ruger mini 30 Like most rifles i have I would like to maybe use it for deer hunting from time to time . Whats the best ammo to run in them ? I here they dont like that cheep Russian stuff that much . But i noticed thats mostly what you find in the local shops around me which could be annoying if you cant get good ammo for it when you want and have to order it .

Use the terrain feature on your gps there are parts of caskills that are not that hilly if you look at the topo maps

Not sure what they should do really . I dont have problem with antler restrictions on certain public lands but not all over so you can decide for your self if you want to go for a bigger buck or just any deer . Some times people just dont have the time to hold off for a bigger deer . What ever they do it has to keep more hunters in the game just saying .

Us hunters think sometimes that deer sense the world around them like humans do but they dont deer have eyes design to detect movement not details or color if you freeze in one spot they cant see you basically . They use there other sense of smell and hearing and movement to detect you . One time i had deer walk within 15, 20 yards of me as i was sitting on the ground against a large tree just by freezing like a statue in place not move a muscle and I had a camo pattern orange hat black face mask camo patter vest on and the wind was blowing at me away from the deer light Breeze of 5 mph about they had no idea i was there until i moved .
