Sterling is hit pretty hard during deer season , IMHO, but hey- I'd still give it a try. Listen to Blackbelt cuz I think he knows it better than most on here.

Why post political stuff?
Northcountryman replied to Grouse's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
No , her opinions and positions were undermining the party- simple as that. Regarding the election stuff , Nothing has been proven false yet. Conversely , nothing has been proven as true yet either so , when discussing this , I try to be careful how I characterize my contentions . I say I believe that there was fraud and have seen some evidence supporting that point of view , but I don’t know it . BTW - do you remember what the Democrats did to Bernie in the past 2 elections ? Fealty to their fave candidate appears to be quite into to the Democrats as well IMHO . -

Accepting the new President - which I I have done , albeit grudgingly - Does not equate to believing that some serious election Irregularities occurred last time around which may have affected the outcome. Be that as it may , What does that have To do with the topic of discussion , Liz Cheney , and her removal from leadership in the Republican Party? She was removed because the majority of members (who are her constituents, mind you)agreed that Her leadership ( due to her stance on key issues related to the former Prez) no longer Accurately reflected their own , majority wise . What’s wrong with that ? Are you hoping that she will now join the Democrats due to this snub? I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting. Also , Back to the election stuff, your characterization of anyone who believes that election fraud occurred last time as needing to “ grow up” , well... that attitude is part of the problem in politics today in this country and is Precisely why we can’t get anything done. -
Very weird !!

Karen's a racist bigot

Figures, just look at all the anti Asian incidents happening in the city currently - are any of them white perps? None that I’ve seen - all black males , mostly in their 20s - 30s . Media won’t talk about that , though ( well , except FOX) , cuz It doesn’t fit the racist white people narrative . -
Woke up this am and, as always, scanned the headlines on my phones news feed - what I saw made my jaw drop. Apparently , many liberals took to Twitter After the rebuttal speech made by Senator Tim Scott ( R) SC . Scott, a conservative and the only African American in the Senate , was pilloried for his criticism of Biden’s proposals outlined in his address; in their tweets , many of them referred to Scott as “ Uncle Tim” . I was Totally mortified - how could Twitter allow the use of a clear and blatant racially charged epithet to be used - on its platform- in reference to a black man?! Outrageous the double standard that is blatant and obvious to anyone who is objective . This is allowed whereas Conservative users are reprimanded , some even removed from the platform for violating their policies against using racially charged language ? In my view , ALL Americans , regardless of political ideology should be outraged and deeply troubled by the blatant bias Evidenced here ; more importantly , however , in how Senator Scott is being treated by those who purport to be against racism and constantly accuse the right of being racist . Really ? I guess he’s not black enough or something ? Wow!! Last week, a member on here posted a meme that was mildly racist - I think that, in retrospect , it was harmless and he just meant it to be funny , but nevertheless , a number of us called him out on it. And This is how it should be . Let’s see if our liberal brethren are equally outraged by clear and blatant bias Evident here .

Crossing Over to the Dark Side
Northcountryman replied to wildcat junkie's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Well, i wasnt talking about that- I was referring to the anti-Reagan message on the bottom of your post. When I first opened it, I didnt see the pics of your gun, so i thought they were links to an article or something about Reagan and Beirut. Pics are cool though, I definitely like that !! -

First of all, I dont even know if this is an accurate account, but more importantly, Why are you bringing this up now? That was a LONG time ago, almost 40 yrs. IMHO, Reagan was a great President and a tremendous leader- sure wish we had him now!! -

How long should I wait before moving my cams?
Northcountryman replied to Northcountryman's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
Yeah , but can’t it help figure out some basic travel routes , even if they shift around some ? You may not know which highway they’ll be using by fall , but at least you’ve identified the highways - well , at least that’s the way I look at it . -
I’m sure you’ve heard about one of the latest shootings that’s turned controversial -the one involving a 16 yr old African American girl in Columbus , OH. In this instance , a cop - a white guy , of course- shot the girl 4 times in the chest after making a split second decision that doing so was necessary in order to prevent her from stabbing , and perhaps , killing , another African American girl. To me, the shooting was completely justified as it was executed in order to save the life of another person; moreover , the other girl was unarmed . The question That I keep asking myself is : if this shooting is not justified , then when EVER would one be ? Why should cops then be carrying firearms if they’re never to use them ? What do you think ?
-
So , since I first placed my cams about 6 wks ago, pics have steadily declined, most likely due to changes in movement patterns . I’m still getting a fair number of deer on cam , but not nearly as many . Should I wait awhile longer , see if activity increases again or be intrepid and move them ? Thanks

Correct , no doubt the difference is obvious

VH, there no way you can say that Biden’s Public remarks Aren’t scripted to the T; it’s so obvious to all. I agree w you that all Presidents ( and other public officials ) have prepared remarks, but nothing like we’ve seen with President Biden. Now , we all know you despise the former President- you’ve made that abundantly clear on here , which is fine as everyone’s entitled to their opinion. But objectively , if you were to watch ANY of his rallies , press conference , etc. , it was clear that Trump was speaking extemporaneously most of the time. He exuded self assuredness whenever and wherever he spoke ; Biden, In contrast ,Does not , although he used to in the past. That is clear
