Nearly everytime I go out!! -
If you get one deep in (i.e. a mile or more walk) and/or all up hill drag, I dont care if your 75 or 25, its still gonna be tough on the ole body to drag out. In that case, , maybe cur it up in the field and hump it out in garbage bags would be best, wouldnt it?

Fewer hunters , for sure , but the point that hunters arent as mobile in the woods as in years past is valid as well IMHO.

Do you guys use lifelines when climbing ladder stands
Northcountryman replied to luberhill's topic in General Chit Chat
No lifeline but safety harness and strap- yup! -

Nice, but happens if you actually get one during your mor ing sit? Gonna have to call in sick!!! -
Camo cloth? whats that? For me, Im nearly 100% a climber Hunter these days; the other 5% I either use my little portable ground blind or try a little still hunting.

Northcountryman replied to luberhill's topic in General Chit Chat
Im an early morning Hunter almost exclusively, but I TOTALLY understand what youre saying as I find it a bit harder to get up and at em in the dark. what motivates me is sitting there, enjoying the peace and serenity, watching the sunrise -

I know Im not !! Still havent selected a spot to setup my climber at a new spot been scouting but I do have it narrowed down to a couple areas I like. Also, I still bring my gear up to camp, get some supplies like hot paks , doe piss and scent spray; how about you? Ready to go?

VP Debate
Northcountryman replied to airedale's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
And yet, somehow, Harris appears to have a 3pt lead nationally over Trump, despite utterly proving her ineptness time and again; what are people thinking to even consider voting for dumb a#&? -

The new system for carcass tags and DMPs

I was thinking that I would just use my old back tag to carry while hunting , then attach with ziploc ties if I get one. -

Where did you attach your tag Woc? Also, did you have any issues attaching it and keeping it securely on your deer? -
You mean like a dark red or brown so its almost black?

Yeah, the author of the article stated that hes tried this on the neighbors dog. He stared at the dog from his house as it lay outside on his leash; within a minute or 2, the dog lifted up his head, looked directly across the yard at him , and started barking. Dont know if true, but maybe!

Hey Guys. Just finished an article in my D&DH mag that I found most interesting and wanted to share; as my title indicates, it discussed a Deers (well, actually, animals , in general, to be honest)sixth sense , enabling them to "feel" when theyre being stared at and respond , accordingly. This ability , apparently derives from a survival sense from countless Predator/ Prey interactions that gives them a survival advantage. I'm not sure I buy into this, though as Ive never detected a deer responding to my "stare"; what do you think?
