How was i changing my story? The story was the same the whole time, the calf was way away from the other cows, she wasnt even near the pasture, no momma in sight cuz when the calf started bleating i waited to see if momma would come running. and i didnt round up any calfs, she was on the side of the road a quarter mile or so from the barn.

I've got a gorgeous remigton 223 for sale. 250$ with good scope, gorgeous wood finish, no scratched that I really.saw. action is smooth as hell, bought it for 400$ I shot it maybe a dozen times, great for yotes and wood chucks and other annoying small game and predators

Well the calf i rescued a couple weekends back on the side of the road i found i posted about last week i think, is now dead.. When i found her she was COVERED in mud and probably hungry and she was shaking pretty bad and could bearly walk, well after i dropped her off the farmer put her in the barn and went back to bed, calf died a few hours later, he left her in the barn with nothing, no feed, no nothing, covered in mud still and cold. Got to love some people and their attitudes about some things!

Looks like soon Bailey is going to grow on you if the pup hasnt already and you wont want to give her up! lol -
Pretty cool, will be sure to report some this year.

Some people just have no respect, if you see or hear another hunter near you, dont just sit there and keep walking around.
-
Looks awesome. Wonder how it will hold up though, ( no offence) i just have seen work done by professionals and have seen them basically fall right apart and lose color and fade and just not look too good after awhile. But still, amazing job for your first mount, deffinatly a good looking mount.
-
Depends on where you get them done and where you go, some people do great work and put a lot of realistic details in it, others just do a half assed job or just dont have the experience and skill others do. Ive always like the work Chenango County Taxidermy has done on my fathers deer. They do awesome work.

Thanks Split!

Finally got my first vehicle. 1998 jeep cherokee sport, 4 door, 170,000 miles, straight 6 engine, 4X4, sun roof, new tires. just needs rear cylinders which im doing at boces in my auto tech class, gotta redo one brake line because its getting rusty and would rather replace it now than wait and have it go later on. small leak in the oil line, easy fix. So pumped! 1200$, all myself, feels good to do something on your own and know you put in all your hard work for it.

Im not that much of a beginner, yes i use calls, have heard turkeys gobble back to me, called in a turkey for my dad before and he shot it, 8 inch beard. Just seems the last 2 years the turkeys arnt calling back and hitting the same spots as they have been prior years.

Thank you, will try next time i get out.

Excuse the mistakes I'm on my phone so its annoyong to write on. But was up at 430 on my way about 3 miles away from my house on my atv because my dad and brother went else where to hunt. About a quarter mile from the first barn I pass to get there I spotted something in the ditch moving. Slowed down saw a freshly born gernsy calf wobbling in the ditch scared. Estimated about an hour old. Couldn't just leave her there to get hit of killed by the neighbors dog thst has attacked cows and tore thrm up pretty good already, so I kept talking to her so I could get close to grab het tail so she wouldn't get away from me, then carried her all the way to the farm because she wouldn't letbme close to the atv because she was still really scared. Boy I was whooped by the time i got there and covered in after birth. Had to set her down a few times to rest lol. After gettikg her there I continued to my spot about a mile down he road and as I pull up a hunter was just walkig in. Damn calf made me stop and ruined my hunt. but my good deed for the day was done Haha. So I went to anoher spot, saw a turkey, didn't have binocs on me so stalked her forbawhile and turned out to be a hen. Spotted about 4 hens from about 630 till 1130. At 12 when I was heading home a group of hunters.were just walkig in... Drovr by with my dad at 4 and they were still there.... Ohh well! I'll get a turkey some day!

Which can be a bad thing all depends on how your hunting them. Im going to sit till about 10, then do some walking and calling see what i can get. but we will see. tempted to take the old mans 12 gauge but ive always liked my 20. Sucks working, have no time off and when i do i usually have a race! Welcome to the real world i guess huh? lol
