    This weekend

I'll be using 80gr of t7 , nothing like a big chunk of lead ....
  2. Good luck everyone this weekend for opening of northern zone muzzleloader. What's everyone using, I will be using my white thunderbolt with some 460gr bull shop bullets, then once gun starts I'll switch to my TC X7 with some .452 300 gr Speer deep curls in a crush rib sabot.
  3. Power belts dont use a sabot, they are a conical. If you want some better choices just let me know
  4. I could rattle off a dozen better bullet choices then either power belt.
  5. The no excuses is not a sabot, its a full bore lead conical. There is not much a 460gr chunk of lead wont stop. Its devastating on deerfrom both my whites. I am not fond of power belts at all, its a bad story waiting to happen
  6. Whose doing the build, i am on the fence about doing one myself.
  7. Lots shoot round ball out of a hawken style muzzloader, very accurate too. Dont think they would fair to well in an in line due to the twist.
  8. I'm telling you guys give ed's gun shop a try. They have a huge muzzloader supply with powders and bullets and the price can't be beat. Carlos runs that side of it and he is a great guy to deal with. You won't be disappointed

  12. I got it for 112, as for pics it's been fine. I actually thinks its to sensitive, I need to double check my settings. I do like my original 880 better but this one is working fine.

Some had hinge pin issues others didn't i heard. I felt one and it was as tight as a bank vault.
  14. The triumph will shoot it just fine, that design and the omega breech plug are some of the best for bh209. Lots of the cva plugs need a vent liner or the flame channel drilled bigger.

  16. If your talking powder bh209 is the way to go. Goex,t7 , swiss and pryodex are dirty. ..
  17. I will suggest the xtp too but in 300gr .452 and get some harvester crush rib sabots as most TC have a tight fitting bore. The bullets can be had for 15 bucks for 50 bullets from several place's and sabots are 7 bucks or so from harvester fir 50 sabots. The xtp has put down more game then most any other bullet going. I'm not a fan of the magnum xtp at muzzloader speeds.

    Albany

Anyone got a good butcher near the Albany area
  19. Any try one of the gen 2 Moultrie 880s

I would try for an original lhr if I were buying one. TC got rid of the green Mountain barrels and added their qla. If I were buying a new muzzloader I'd buy an omega or a white like the other one I listed.
