Im leaning towards my winchester 30-06, but im also bring the 300 win mag. I just brought a new box of winchester XP3 Supreme Elites for the 30-06 so im probably going go with the -06

This is a true tragedy, and my prayers go out to the family. BUT i think both parties are at fault. The shooter should have made visible contact before shooting, but also the victim should have been wearing some sort of blaze orange. If it was archery, it would have been a different story, but its firearms season, everyone should be wearing something. Even a hat could of stopped this. Just my 2 cents..

i just brought a box of winchester xp3 supreme elite 180 grain. im excited to see how they perform. never shot 180 out of my gun, always shot 150. Have any of you guys used these?

Heres my first buck taken on 11/22/10 at 8am. woke up late so i ran down to the stand, went in real quick. 5 mins go by and this guy comes out. watched him for 15 mins. he started to get real nervous, so i took the shot. this was my 3rd season and each season i have taken a deer. im glad this year to have taken something with alters. heres a couple pics taken from my phone so there pretty crappy.
