How do your scents compare to the other big name brands out there, like Tinks? Have you done any tests internal or independent that show the difference? Just curious, because there are so many options out there. If your stuff is as good or better then the others out their I'd rather support a NY company.

Maybe this belongs in the ATV section but can anyone recommend a good ATV Spreader / Seeder? There are a ton out there, some relatively inexpensive (under 200) and some go upwards of 600 $$$...

2010 Licenses? When do they go out if your a lifetime?

I use tinks and last year I tired some other kind, cant remember the name now... White tail Institute or Wild something? I think tinks works well, but the main thing is to not use the rut stuff before the rut, it can scare the deer off. Use regular doe urine for during archery for example.

Last season I was out on my property. I had to take a crap like no other. It was more of a boozing crap, because the night before we were up late drinking, having a good time. Got about 3 hrs of sleep, then had some coffee. At about 9 am, I had to shimmy down my stand, because i was about to crap my pants. I made it about 200 yards away from my stand, started to slowly taken down my pants, then I realized that the toilet paper was in my back back, back at the stand. Oh Crap! So I rip a huge fire crap, have no TP, I proceed to cut my under shit off to use as toilet paper. Thank god I have a knife, otherwise it would have been ruff leafs. Anyways, I made it out OK, and only lost a hanes white t-shirt. Moral of the story is to bring toilet paper everywhere, you never know when she is going to blow! And in my case, it was a blow out.

I subscribe to White Tail, and I pick up sportsmans Bow Hunting at the local news place here and there. Reason I ask, I want to know if I am missing out on any good mags and I am curious to what everyone else reads.

It would be great if some of the more experienced folks that have done or are in the process of doing food plots to post some pictures, suggestions, what works / doesn't work in the NY area. Thanks in advance!

Valley area's in the book I was reading tend to be a good funnel point, especially if it leads to a field.

I'd love to see some pics of others tree stands. Always looking for idea's. I'd like to see some platform type stands (wood) and also some wood stands attached to trees (the standard).

I'd love to know this as well... I am planning on doing at least one small field / feeding area for deer and others to feast on. I'd prefer something low maint. because I am not up there all the time to keep an eye on it.

Roscoe is pretty far from Lake Huntington... lake Huntington is near Bethel, off the Monticello exit on Route 17.

I am seeing more and more bear and bear signs. From bear crap on the road, to scratched telephone polls, to actual sightings. Seems like bear in NY is ever increasing! Anyone else notice this over the past 5 years or so?
