  10. well again wanted to say thank you for all the support I have received on here, my future FIL is bring over some of my mothers things that are at his place she was going to be staying with him cause he has a huge house well she only stayed with him for a week before getting sick and ended up in the hospital, but not really looking forward on going threw the stuff for the time being it might go down in the basement covered up till I can get up the nerve to go threw the stuff and besides being here alone is not good to go threw things, I will wait til hubby homes home in case I loose it and I can turn to him.
  11. very nice hunt you got yourself, I can't wait til I am able to go out this year, lastyear for early bow me my hubby and the kids went out and my 2 yr old fell asleep after 15 minutes out there it was ok cause me and her were in the 2man blind and hubby and the boys were just off from me, we did not get anything but being out as a family was great, my daughter get all excited when she sees deer or turkeys when we are driving around can't wait for this year to see how she is again lol.
  12. thank you everyone, I got to the point I am having all my calls go to voicemail right now don't feel like talking to anyone but my hubby and kids, I have found more support online than the rest of my family and that is sad, they all claimed that my mom and me meant alot to them yeah right
  13. thank you hunter it went pretty smooth I thought there would be alot of drama like I have been dealing with since my mother first went into the hospital back at the end of august but thank god for having my hubby by my side if not i would probley end up in the crazy ward in the hospital
  14. i totally agree. the rangers in my area will be have a big yard sale soon, to sell the trail cams and treestands removed form public land this summer. they also donated a lot education course around the area.

  16. it just occurred to me that my rambling about my hubby, seems like i jacked the op thread that was not intent, i am sincerely sorry. just the post touched me so much and sounded just like my hubby.
  17. for me it will be mostly 9A and 8G but i do plan on try to get down to 9M and9N
  18. i love the story, kind of sounds like my hubby when he goes out to hunt. he has not harvest a deer yet but he is out every chance he has. he tells me it more about learning than taking. does he want a deer yes, is he selective yes in regard he will not take a baby no matter what. he also says it is about the boys(our 2 sons0 , he will not shoot at a deer be fore they have a chance , no matter what. it it runs on them , they learned a lesson is how he tells them. just to tell you a little my husband just got into hunting when his mother passed, he did to spend time with his dad, and keep an eye on him per say. he learned very quickly not to just go out and shoot at everything, he is happy be one with the woods. heck most of the hunts he has been out and came home with a camera full of pictures, never even took the gun out of the van. and that was more fun to him than you can imagine.
  19. nice deer, glad you where able to find him. can't wait til we can get out in the woods again.
  20. good luck everyone, looking forward to good stories and of course pictures. Have to wait for a couple weeks yet ,10/15/ opener
  21. nice i may run into out in the swamps. i have a tag for 8g, and 9a
  22. you can check here: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/8297.html#rsnake
  23. bubba can we stop these countdowns, you got me and hubby twitching here
  24. my hubby thought just for giggles with used arrow, decided to shot spider on concrete wall. unaware the arrows had nocturnal nocs. not one noc turned off on impact with wall, and the gold tips faired rather well also. out of ten arrows only one broke, and all five nocs stayed lit til turned of. Wish i could say the same for the poor wolf spiders. lol
  25. i have always after the day in the woods unscrew the nipple and unload the gun. to me any powder(pellet) and bullet in the gun IS LOADED TO ME. that is just my thought and good practice in my mind. i would hate to think it is not loaded and accidentally double load. lets face some morning we all have days we do not think straight in the heat of the moment, or just plain excitement. better safe than sorry i always say.
