To me chasing is when the bucks are running the does, staying right on their tail, almost like a dog herding an animal. I think that the seeking phase is firing up, and a few does here and there have gone into early esterous. I saw a mature buck the other morning full on chasing a doe during broad daylight right out in the open. I was wishing he was near my stand instead of 2 fields over, but it probably wouldnt have mattered anyway, he wasnt stopping for anything.
