Four Season Whitetail's
I just read where they have down graded the storm for Ny. Still some wind and rain but not near what they thought it was going to be. Sunshine back on tuesday. Bucks will be back to normal in a day of two! I have been thru alot of hurricanes in florida and sometimes it would do that.It would calm down for a few mins then go to gusting ten times worse. The eye is the coolest. Its calm then like a matter of minuites after the wall of wind comes back its blowing worse than the head of the storm. The tail is usually just as bad if not worse. shooter
Was just down at the Webster pier along the outlet bridge on lake Ontario. Was absolutely crazy almost impossible to walk out or back down the pier. Waves were breaking a good 12-15ft over I was drenched!! The roar of the lake and wind was like none I have ever seen and I have lived right by the lake for a long time. The police and fire departments on both the Webster side and Irondequoit side of channel were evacuating homes along the beach. The sand from the beach along with the rain made visibility almost zero. This is no joke and the worse is yet to come. So far my home has yet to be evacuated but that may change as the night goes on. Anyone along the lake shore be safe and do not be afraid to spend the night some place else. Already lots of downed trees and power lines! Good luck to all and stay safe. fasteddie
Channel 10 news just cut in and said 60 - 70 mph winds along the lake . I am only 2 miles south of Lake Ontario .
PREDATE
Channel 10 news just cut in and said 60 - 70 mph winds along the lake . I am only 2 miles south of Lake Ontario . That's wierd. I'm about 10 miles from the PA border and it hasn't gotten too bad, nothing majorly severe(yet)! Wind @ 31mph right now. Rain has been off and on. I suppose being near the lake might have something to do with it though. Edited October 30, 2012 by PREDATE

PREDATE
I hear ya' arrow nocker. I'll hunt all day in a pouring rain, but the wind is another thing! I've seen too many trees come down with a fury to not want to be on the recieving end of it. Like I said in a post about safety tips, it only takes a small branch to fall and impale ya! I like to do the impaling (with 100grains of Muzzy)! LOL
