DeerLogic
I was on stand this morning, and I was very surprised to hear a turkey gobble at day break. I was even more surprised that he gobbled all the way up till 9am. I have never heard one go at it like that in the fall, I mean this beard was hammering it like early spring. Anyone heard it before???? any idea's if it means anything?
greybeard
I never heard gobbling in the Fall, but one year at Cranberry Mountain in early October, a flock was on the roost really close to the parking spots and there was a lot of yelping and calls that sounded like it could be young one's tryin' to gobble...Really odd calling, I never heard anything like it before, and two of us "THOUGHT" that it was attempts at gobbling. biggamefish
I hardly have seen any turkeys. I saw some along the road and it looked like the one was all fanned out.
