Fall Turkey's

I was on stand this morning, and I was very surprised to hear a turkey gobble at day break. I was even more surprised that he gobbled all the way up till 9am. I have never heard one go at it like that in the fall, I mean this beard was hammering it like early spring. Anyone heard it before???? any idea's if it means anything?

I never heard gobbling in the Fall, but one year at Cranberry Mountain in early October, a flock was on the roost really close to the parking spots and there was a lot of yelping and calls that sounded like it could be young one's tryin' to gobble...Really odd calling, I never heard anything like it before, and two of us "THOUGHT" that it was attempts at gobbling.

I always here gobbling in the fall, but to go at it non stop for a long period of time not so much!! Not sure what that means.

I hardly have seen any turkeys. I saw some along the road and it looked like the one was all fanned out.

they rarely gobble here in the fall....but down at camp all the time through out the day...We here more gobbling in the fall there that in the spring...go figure!
