I was concerned about the fuel line being empty for 10 years. The tank is plastic. I found this website quite informative about the Cobra outdrives.

I had the motor running on starting fluid today. Lot's of fun playing with the wiring. Points ignition, thought the coil was bad, kill switch issue. FuN!

Time to clean out the fuel tank and prime the fuel pump. Looking into a Pertronix ignition kit with a CDI upgrade to the stock shift interupt.

Took a break since last post. Went out to close it up until next time. I couldn't resist, so I turned the key and the fuel pump started working. One of those rare moments when the smell of raw fuel makes you happy.
