sounds good :) I dropped an email to dec for a definitive answer , here's what I asked :

Hello,

I’m having a discussion with a friend regarding legal food plot practices.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that a food plot, let’s say corn.. I perfectly legal in its standing state, however if you brush hog it down, now it is illegal and classified as bait.

He says that just applies to waterfowl.

I can’t seem to find the document I originally think I read, indicating that knocking it down without a full attempt to harvest was baiting.

Can you answer this and provide me some references?

Thank you very much,

I'll post their response when I get it
