growalot
Just in time for another snow...though this won't last long...4in. last night of light fluffy...40 degree due Saturday....I take the bow saw with me on my hikes but need to get the winter oil out for the saw and get some real cutting done...also more posts for the fencing line I received my Steuben tree list yesterday...I plan on buying more trees this year ......Love Concolor and they grow well here....may have to think our own future X-mas trees...... Even though I haven't had a ton of luck with the sawtooth oak...I may try again...perhaps make a line of them going down the middle of the open field but in the big grow tubes...they do prefer a less acidic soil and well that area is limed and fertalized yearly...full sun ...we'll see
SplitG2
Grow, I have good growth with the sawtooth but i will never plant them again. It's more of a southern tree. I'm thinking of trying some hybrids this year? Edited January 18, 2013 by splitg2
G-Man
I've not had much luck with sawtooth oak and have switched to chestnuts, i tend to stay with norway spruce as the grow fast here.
landtracdeerhunter
Really surprised that these winter high winds haven't tip out more woods trees with no frost in the ground. Been lucky so far , with just 2. More high winds forecast for his weekend. Batten down the hatches.
