tony m
An estimated 2,000 people participated in protest of New York State governor Cuomo and those legislature elected officials who are violating the natural right of man.

Hoss315er
That's awesome! When & where is the next protest? I wonder if any are planned for Syracuse this coming weekend...during the NY Sportsman Expo?
ants
Protesters need to be aware of antis who may try to infiltrate just to make them look bad. I can see antis joining in and pretending to be part of the protest only to break out with signs that threaten politicians lives or read something like "machine guns for everyone" "kill them all" just to make gun owners look like the nut job hicks they all paint us to be.

tony m
Thanks. Looking for one in Rochester. .... There not doing a protest in Rochester, but Scope is having a major sign up / info meeting there. That may be this Saturday. Why not grab the bull by the horns and get it setup? That is what is needed, more people stepping up to the plate and getting involved. Some new people seem to be taking charge with the 2A from the Buffalo area. There are regulars that have been running things for five years now and the wear and tear takes it's toll. There needs to be new blood. Hoss315er
Already working on it! I would love to see a rally in Rochester at the Liberty Pole. Just called the city trying to get info on obtaining a permit. Answering machine...I left my message. A rally to Save the Second, on the second. 2-2-13 Liberty Pole would be symbolic, but I wonder if another public place would be more convenient. Open to any suggestions on a location or other ideas. Hoss315er
Ok. February 2nd is no good. I just spoke to a rep about obtaining a permit. She said the City of Rochester does not even have their permits for 2013 prepared yet. I was considering March 2nd. They want 3-4 weeks notice. The Rochester Sportsman show is March 1-3. That could be good for a rally since many people would be coming to Rochester for the show. Maybe they would participate before or after going to the show at the Dome. I am one of the people that have burnt out a bit and am taking at least a year off from coordinating events. Rochester has not had anyone really put some major events together. The three major meetup groups there, Monroe county Campaign for Liberty, We Surround Rochester, and Rochester Tea Party, just don't do seem to do major events, such as what you want to do. And if you go strictly with these groups, this would probably alienate democrats. What is needed is an effort to unify both left and rights. The 2A can do that. To coordinate at a neutral position could start something there. This is being attempted statewide with the new folks in Buffalo. Find your location. You need a PA system, anyone you know has one? Construct a press release, need help there? Emaill all media in the county and anywhere else you want with the press release. Then call and speak to someone as you main media tv and radio stations to personally request their attendance, and form a rapport. Find some democrat organizations in your area and lobby them, make friends. See if they would co sponsor the event with you. Ask them how are their feelings of teaming with the local meetups mentioned above. It is easier if you get at least a couple other people to join with you. PM me with your phone number, if you want to chat and I could help you along, especially with the press release. I may be going to Rochester tonight to help a friend move some furniture. We possibly could meet in the Brighton area? ... It would be great if someone could step up and light a fire in Rochester. tony m
any word of any rallys down south here? in region 3 westchester putnam area? I have not. Talk has been mostly for a big rally in Albany in February. What is trying to be persuaded, is having Scope take the lead because they are politically neutral. The GOA and NRA should also be involved. I am not on the inside of the events so I get second hand info. Steve, President of NY Scope spoke in Buffalo, not Albany at last weeks rally, mainly because he lives here. So it sounds like any Scope escalating their involvement will come out of the brainstorming, possibly from WNY. I due believe that there needs to be more than just speakers speaking at these events. There wasn't any real plans of involvement spoken to the audience to get people fired up about. Just speaking isn;'t enough. There needs to be a coordinated action plan revealed to the crowds to sitr some growth.

Geno C
I dot think gun owners would let someone hold a sign saying kill anyone and really an anti would be crazy to do something like that at a ralley full of responsible gun owners. That's like going down in Harlem with a sign that says I hate you know what. It's suicide...
growalot
Why not have a rally at each county seat?...I think Bath is Steuben and Geneseo is Livingstons county seats aren't they?
