I almost stepped on a timber rattler one time in high wind while deer hunting. I was standing there and I barely heard the rattle. I looked down just as he struck and missed my boot by a few inches. I jumped back ( and shat my pants a little ) and he coiled back up. The 300 wm I had borrowed from a buddy to hunt with made him into a pink mist in a hurry.

Lmao, Im down in FL right now, and saw a dead deer on the side of the road on the way across I4. It was an adult deer, but size wise it was as big as a fawn in NY lol.
