WNYBuckHunter
Why not just send the cam into Moultrie? They are pretty good about fixing them. Ive sent a few of mine back with no problem.

phade
Grow, buy a 2012 Covert. Hands down best cam line across the board for 2012. You can find some deals on the MP6 for about $100-$110 in some spots. Very easy to work with on warranties too. How far out of warranty was the Moultrie? If you got two years out of the cam and spent $100, then that's great in my book. Remember, these are cams without coated electrical components in the elements. Getting moisture in the cam can be caused by a few things...I suspect water or moisture got trapped when the cam was last opened. The other is a leak from a seal, sometimes a small leaf matter can do it. Other times, diurnal pumping can do it, which to be honest is most prevalent at this time of year. If you have condensation, take the cam - place in a giant ziplok with dessicant or a small bowl of rice. You can also leave the cam open inside, but with uncoated internals, getting the water away from them faster is better imo. Look for a reset button on the Moultrie...some models have them (M80/100 do). Some also have a secondary battery that keeps time, and when that dies, so does the cam until it is replaced. If all fails, look at a 2012 Covert.
growalot
Just 2 yrs....the sleep mode wakes when I use the USB cord...so it could be an internal battery thing...but why wouldn't the new C's keep the unit out of wake up?...Thanks for the tip I have 180.00 in rewards from Gander and just keep adding them...Got 60.00 last month alone...Mr B uses our card for job site stuff then turns in the receipts....that helps...lol
phade
What is the model? D55? If you have 2 years of service out of a D series cam...then you did good. I'm not super familiar with the D series once it went to C batteries, but I'd look for a hard reset button or a secondary battery (most often the are flat round ones). Gander's pricing on cams sucks. The only good cam for the money there is the Spypoint G4 and the Eclypse. I wouldn't waste money on cams there, even with points. Better off using the points for better priced items at Gander and spending the loot on a cam where it is cheaper.
