Cheap Batteries

I replaced the 6 "C" batteries in one of my cameras last thursday . I used the cheap batteries from the Dollar Store to see how long they would last . I recalled a review in Consumer Report a few years ago that said the more expensive batteries didn't last much longer than cheaper ones so I thought I would see for myself . I had been using the batteries from Tractor Supply and they lasted about 5 months in the freezing temperatures .

I use the cheapos myself. Never see a difference between those and the pricier ones.

I loaded up a cam the other day with 8-AA Dollar Store "Sunbeam" brand.

The batteries were so undersized they fell right out of the camera when I stood it upright like it would hang on the tree. I had to put a piece of tape across them to hold them in place. I filled it up with Energizers and those fit snug. I use the generic C's and D-cells in my other cams with no problem, but can still tell they fit a little loose.

Changed the camera batteries on March 12 and checked the camera yesterday . It was at 70% and had only taken 463 pics so I will keep a close eye on it . I had installed the Dollar store Sunbeam batteries .
