whats your go to decoy set up?

Cherokee sports inflatables. I normally carry a feeding hen and a jake with me. Position the jake behind the hen....it can sometimes upset a gobbler

I'm a huge advocate for a full strutter and two hens.  One feeding and one on the ground.  I use a real tail fan in the strutter (Pretty Boy).  I got one of those Avian hen decoys and she is PURRRDY! My buddy got the funky chicken jake so were going to try it opening day with my spread.

Also, face the Tom (or jake) decoy facing you so the Tom will come closer to get in front of the decoys

I'm a little skeptical of jake decoys, I've seen jakes run off toms many times. But I've heard a lot of success stories with them too so who knows.

I used an avian X jake and feeding hen during my youth season hunt! They worked awesome!!

I take a jake with me but normally a hen or two does the trick. Sometimes i dont use any at all
