I just picked up grabbed the decoys and head down the ridge away. I was calling for him so I wasn't in the best shooting position

Maybe that patch of trout lilys has some secret sleeping potion in them!? Would have been funny to let with a gobbler call that close to see how quickly he would have jumped up!

He slept all day yesterday and I let him sleep in today all the way till 5:15

I shot mine walking thru some slop yesterday.

Good to know my property is pretty wet this Time of the year and didn't know if the birds just avoided it becaus of all the mud
