UPDATE:

 

I made a phone call to my uncle last night who has been hunting these birds telling him where they were.  They gobbled like crazy on the roost and came out right where they were supposed to and he laid the hammer down on the strutter from the above pics...

Yep.  They haven't been coming out into field in the mornings, but today the hens decided to go that way and got their boyfriend jellyheaded...

You guys killed a few this year in the fields. Did you use blinds on all of them?

Nope.  Actually, this is the first season that I have ever seriously used groundblinds as part of my turkey hunting tactics (mostly when it comes to chasing those pain-in-the-butt field gobblers).  I didn't take either of my birds from a blind but was in on 3 successful hunts where we killed birds from one.  They work...but I like to be set up with my back against a treetrunk a lot better.
