Wow, well that settles it.  I'm convinced.  All we need to increase public safety is more guns.  I'm sure there are no socioeconomic factors involved whatsover- surely $38K goes as far in Chicago as $37k does in Houston.

$250K gets you a giant brand new 4,000sq foot house in Houston. Must be like living in Heaven.  I'm tempted to retire at like 32 and live like a king in Houston for the rest of my life.

Houston has high property taxes on that home though. I believe that's one of the major issues there - I watch House Hunters with the wife and the taxes were complained about a bunch in certain areas of Houston.

Can't be higher than Westchester county (#1 every year), thats for sure.
