growalot
OK ....as easy as it is for us to complain...believe me, first time I've bought expensive seed...easy to complain...this really is so much better than blistering sun...sweaty everything and burnt up lawns and fields ...besides, ppl on wells...with ponds...streams/wet lands....we have needed this for a long time....I think it also put a damper on the caterpillars and blk flies....it all evens out in the end. wdswtr
You ever try to put in a foundation in this weather before Grow? Just about impossible, mud, standing water really doesnt mix well with concrete and morter. Im so far behind on this build its putting me farther behind with whats in line next. The whole building site is nothing but a mudhole. I have had to forgo even thinking about the food plots at this point and if it ever stops raining so I can get caught up maybe a fall planting will work out but right now Im hundreds of hours behind. So yeah I will complain cause there is not much else I can do about it lol.
Doc
Yup, in a perfect world, all this rain could be spread out over a more convenient time frame. In my own personal situation, it is kind of nice not to be worrying about potential well problems. However, it has been so damned unrelenting, that lawn mowing and garden weeding has now become a problem. The good news is that I have not been plagued with a flooded driveway as has been the situation in many other years. So basically, I guess I am not ready to complain ...... yet. growalot
I'll be the first to say for many different "jobs" in NYS this is a difficult situation...I feel for the construction side of things ...grew up in it and it pays the bills for several family members...so yes I know...Though when a situation goes on and on as this has the last few weeks ...ones gotta try to find an upside..when our hands are tied to put the breaks on the down side of it ...Now let me get back to the card board ark I'm building....lol
