Black woodchuck

I seen a black woodchuck today in Caledonia front of spring Creek  and I just seen a very small fawn up the road from the Mumford museum it almost looks like it just started walking

Back in my Woodchuck hunting days when their numbers were fairly high I would on occasion see a black one, heck these days other than the one living in my back yard I do not see any Woodchucks period. 

Last Fall I did see a couple of black Squirrels.

He's been around a while. My friends own the farm right next to the creek.

You should see the deer that come off that Museum ground. Big. And Bigger.

I have seen some big bucks over there also. 

I'm hunting over there this year. 

They are a nice couple, we have gotten Angus from them

You're hunting the museum?

Got it, that is a great area. It gets alot of pressure as you move further west on that road and the one that splits to the race track/campgrounds. Lots of hunt clubs that way. But right up close to that museum is...very nice. It's guarded carefully since the DEC are on it all the time, but for those who can hunt it...they have very nice walls. Personally seen 160-180" taken from it. Probably 10+ in that size range in all seriousness.

Bigger woodlots for the area are there, too. Biggest in fact I think.
