Bottom Plow for ATV?

Recommended Posts

just wondering if anyone uses a bottom plow or moldboard plow for their ATV? if so what do you use? and where did you get t?

was looking into some bottom plows for the ATV like quadivator makes one, its nice but its $1900 for the plow and &600 for the actuator plus shipping and tax, WAYYY over priced if you ask me... http://www.quadivator.com/UTVplow.html

has anyone made a home made plow?

i think i might dive into making one... i do want to get the DR Roto pull behind tiller. looks mint...

thanks!

I'm no farmer but the stuff we pull behind the quad looks like a sled. When you pull the lever down the spikes or tongs go into the ground an really break up the ground. Put some weight on it and away you go. These are old farming pieces you can get real cheap.

Geno, Be careful with a heavy  or aggressive plow behind the Polaris. Yours has plenty of engine but it has a belt driven primary and even when in low  you will be shortening the life of that belt. This is one of the draw baks of our Polaris's for being to lazy to shift...lol

FIrst light is probably using the best option (besides a tiller) becasue you can adjust the depth with that handle and make multiple passed.

Hey geno... Last year I purchased kolpins dirtworks series for my quad. You need to purchase the 3 point attachment with tool bar $600, the hitch $60, and disc tiller attachment $330. The 3 point attachment has a hydraulic pump that raises and lowers the disc. You could also purchase many other implements to use on the tool bar. I bought mine from cabelas when it went on sale after the hunting season and had some cabelas points which helped. Definately worth it in my opinion if you don't want to spend the money on a tractor or if using a tractor on your property isn't an option like in my case! If you have any other questions... Let me know.

its a Arctic Cat 700efi  :P

not a polaris lol

i dont know what the drive line is but it said it was a CVT tranny? this thing has balls

those pull behinds create way more drag then a plow would in my opinion right? the plow is angled and pitched those pull behinds go deep and really stress out the machine. ive used those on other ATVs before i would think the plow would work a little bit better
