WNYBuckHunter
So I just figured out a new reason to carry a guthook knife. I dropped my quiver out of my climber a few mins ago and was able to get it by tiring my knife to my hoist rope and hooking my quiver with it. Woo hoo! fasteddie
I realize you used the gut hook for a different task but I never cared for the guthook . I bought one of the Gerber Metolius E-Z Open knive and it's like using a zipper . The back o f the blade is flut and rides over the intestines . Works GREAT ! WNYBuckHunter
You wont snag your gear that you drop with that though!
fasteddie
You wont snag your gear that you drop with that though! If I had an arrow nocked with my bow in the tree , i'd leave the quiver on the ground . You only need one arrow . : Probably by the time you tied the knife on and fished , you could have climbed down and got it quicker and with less movement . biggamefish
Fact what fun is that. I have left my hat at the bottom of the tree and used a Judo point to nab it with the hooks. Bow when you get it up to the tree you feel like you mastered the universe. Good job WNY

I have lighted nocks on my arrows, the fall turned one on and I didnt want it to go dead. They arent exactly cheap lol.
