greybeard
Was fishing and took a break and took out a predator call, to see if I could see a fox. While calling, I saw something coming towards me, and when it got to about twenty feet from me it stopped, put it's ears up and stared at me. It was a cottontail. Never called a cottontail before, just thought it was strange.

PREDATE
Cool story Beard! At least it wasn't a skunk. I've had that privilege, not a good situation! I hit the river for the first time this year today for some muskies, not 5 casts and a wicked t-storm blows in. Lots of widow maker trees down there so I boogied on out. JimR
That bunny will learn the hard way not to answer a four , or two legged predators call!
greybeard
Predate, it sure was a surprise to have a rabbit come in. I'm glad it WASN'T a skunk..That could ruin your day. My area didn't get storms today, but I could hear thunder in the distance so some spots nearby got whacked with storms I guess.. The air was VERY heavy, and had some rain, but not bad. I hope you get some muskies and write it up. I don't think that there is a fish that impresses me as much as a musky. The closest Esox that we got here are chain pickerel and that's a far cry from a musky. Glad you got outta there unharmed. JimR...When the rabbit realized what I was (I moved), he sure knew I wasn't who he wanted to see, so maybe it learned a lesson. .
