Anyone's Season

After scouting a lot last winter and this past August, putting up 3 new stands for a total of 10 stands, and shooting well.......I still don't feel ready. Always looking for a better stand location, the golden spot for opening week of gun on state land.

Ready to go!  Stands are trimmed, just have to climb in and hook harness into strap, also was up labor day wkd and found new scrape.  3wks and counting....

Haven't gone up to the property yet, but headed up this weekend to check stands and clear lanes. We've been hunting there for about 10 yrs now so not much changes pattern wise. I do want to slap up some cameras though as I did see a monster during muzzle season and I want to know if he's still lurking around. Treated myself this year for my 30th Bday and bought a Matthews bow which I have shot and am impressed with so far. Can't wait to christen it. Still need to sight in old faithful (30-06) as I believe I knocked off the scope last year after a nasty fall. This heat this week is making me a little nervous for the opener. Don't know how long I can tolerate sitting with a sea of nats around my face. Would prefer it to cool off in time for my favortie time of year. Can't wait to get out there.
