Walker's Game Ear

Looked back at all 7 pages of gear discussion to locate anything about them, and was surprised to see no one has brought up anything on this topic. I'm considering purchasing one this season, now that the prices has become more affordable.  I feel that I am missing key " hearing  tones", being around diesel engines most of my life.  The ability to amplify sound to hear greater distances should gain me an advantage as game approch.

 

My point of this thread would be to hear from those of you that have any history of using one, being Walkers or any other brand. Also any one that would like to chime in with pros and cons on them are welcomed. Walkers have ear muff models, as well as clip on behind the ear types. I seem to be leaning on the clip on, behind the ear model, for convience.

I heard there ok, for me the squirrels piss me off enough with out having it amplified!!

Yeah, I'd like some input too. Last year my buddy fired a shot from behind and left of me. My left hearing is dull at higher tones now. It may be unrelated, but I might need some help anyway.

Protecting ones hearing from muzzle blast is one of their features and they do recieve pretty high ratings in that respect. I would think that should be a  strong concern among fire arm hunters.
