Doc
Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Bushmaster AR-15 right in the doorway. I left a full 20 round magazine beside it, then left it alone and went about my business. While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near the front of our house. After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It hadn't moved itself outside. It certainly hadn't killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so. In fact, it hadn't even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people. Either the media is wrong, or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world. Well, I'm off to check on my spoons. I hear they're making people fat.
jjb4900
I bet if it had been allowed to play a violent video game the outcome would have been much different..............
JimR
I keep my guns locked up, out of fear they will go on a rampage
Mr VJP
If you really were to do this, you would violate a number of NY laws. Unsecured weapon, illegal magazine, civil disobedience, inciting a riot, and any other law they could dream up against you, etc. I'm sure a cop would have shown up in a short time with his gun drawn and arrested you, if he didn't just decide to shoot first and ask questions later. We live in a free country. You're free to do whatever they let you do.

bluecoupe
Hmmm, I hadn't thought of them getting together and starting a coop. I think I'd better take double caution when locking them up! Thanks for the PSB!
