ACORNS

Anyone else having an issue with a ton of acorns this season!  I can not pattern the deer to save my life this season.

Well , tons of them dropping in my hardwoods, the deer however are eating in the bean and cut corn fields.......

In the area we hunt they are hitting the apples hard also corn fields

I just wish I could find their favorite one...even the  young reds are dropping acorns..every time out I find another new tree dropping ...and they are all now huge...all the little ones dropped a month ago and the ones remaining grew like crazy! sounds like rocks falling from the sky...60 + trees dropping on our place very few sightings of adult deer in the plots...with the exception of the small oat/ww plot....but there are 6 oaks in that area with acorns

Spot we hunt the deer are barely touching the acorns. Apples on the other hand are getting hit hard.

Buddy i hunt with said it sounded like it was raining acorns over the weekend. But no deer activity.

They are hitting them hard, huge areas of pawed earth everywhere.  But no set pattern that I can tell.

This little guy and his slightly bigger brother strolled from oak ..thru plot to oaks next to me last night bedding in the wood line in between...even when I was closing blind windows and packing up last night ten yrds away....... they never felt a need to move off....... had to leave at dark...but still no adults around...may have been more corn fields chopped near by
