Odd...But GOOD bait

A buddy of mine has been having pretty good luck with walleyes using LIVER LEECHES. He buys pork liver at the supermarket and cuts it into leech shapes to fish on various weight jig heads. He tosses the "leeches" in cornmeal and then puts them into a zip lock sandwich bag to take to the stream. The cornmeal makes the leeches less messy to handle and leaves a bit of a chum line when the jig hits the water. Worth giving a try.............

Sounds wayyyyy too advanced for Early tactics. Should have killed the pig with a handcrafted knife first. Supermarkets are cheating.

I went fishing back in the 90's with a couple old timers on the St. Lawrence for eyes and they did the same thing. used them to tip brown bucktail jigs. I had never seen it but had used pig liver strips for bullhead bait.

We have a pond on our property and let little kids fish it for fun (we pinch the barb on

the hook so we don't hurt the fish too much). We use cheap hotdogs and the catfish

love them!

I have caught a few good largemouths on hotdogs, too. My guess is...good scent!
