New Hunter from 315

Hey everyone;

 

New hunter here.  Live in Newark, work in Henrietta. I am an avid fisherman and former military, but just started the hunting experience last year.  I mainly hunt with a friend just south of Batavia due to not having any area yet around me in Newark.

 

I started shotgun last year with a borrowed gun, took a shot and missed (scope wasn't zero'd to my cheekweld). Net result last year was nada. Went out over the summer and bought a Mossberg 500C for this year.  My gun, my sights.

 

I also bought a used bow a few months ago to see if I would enjoy bow hunting.  So far I love it!!! Took a small 6 point a couple weeks ago! Got about 70 lbs of meat from him, and will be eating good this winter!

 

Going for that big meaty doe next!

 

Been lurking for a bit, and am very happy to see that this is a really informative bunch of hunting enthusiasts.  I look forward to meeting you all and learning as much as I can!
