growalot
The wind has me changing where I hunt in more ways than one....this morning I have to consider where I walk and type of stand...no idea condition of trees or trails...so need to avoid the woods...and some of my wooden stands have taken a prolonged beating....so they are out rotation until inspected.....even though they have several safety back ups....ie...chain and ratchet straps....I haven't been to ole reliable in a while...but have a nice ladder stand in the woodland plot......slashing no big trees but oak....hhhmmmm...edge of swamp....mid woods security/food????? WesternNY
Wind is the biggest challenge for my place. It often changes swirls and gives me angina. I would imagine a lot of WNY is like this???? Edited October 27, 2013 by WesternNY
