Private Land Permision

Planning a hunting trip to 7m for the 2014 bow season.  I have been studying up on the public lands availible to hunt and am just wondering how the locals in the area feel about giving permission to a couple of respectful hunters.  I see a lot of farm land around there that would seem pretty good to me.  We'll see when i go scouting next spring.

It would'nt hurt to have the NYS DEC Permission Slip available !

I hunt 7m public land and can tell you that it isn't pressured hard at all. Lots of land and not much hunting action if you go to the right spots. Never tried asking private permission as the state land always allows me to pull out some nice deer ever year

I hunt 7M a lot, my SZ spot last 14 years.  There is a lot of quality public land down there, Opening Day was crazy down there, heard more shots than the last 5 years put together!

I won't use this slip unless the landowner wants it. Too much to fill out and I don't want to be bothersome to the landowner.   Plus I don't want to pigeonhole myself with the dates. 

 

I just type out a small one sentence line where we both sign and date. If the landowner only wants me there for certain dates/purposes then they can write it on there.
