Long Island outfitter

Curious if anyone is familiar with an outfitter named Bill Lester of Long Island Deer Hunting. The website advertises high success rates and almost guaranteed opportunities at pretty low prices and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

Do they drop you off on state land or private property?

Sounds like it could be either. I just wouldn't want to find out too late that I'd be hunting in someone's backyard.

You will most likely be hunting someone's backyard, there's a couple of guys running outfits like this. Pretty much they have permission to hunt a few acre parcel behind a house in the hamptons and you pay for them to bring you there.

Why don't you call the guide and ask him what to expect if you book a hunt with him.

If I was spending my hard earned money I would want to know what I was paying for.

Tim, that's what I was afraid of. I did contact him by email and he said that some properties are woods and others are 'lawns'. I don't want to hunt on a lawn.

Maybe you can use a riding lawn mower to drag out a deer and get paid for cutting the lawn too.

I've used him. He's very good and I was in the woods. Helped me out a lot considering this is my first year hunting.
